About the Author

RedMaligator blends horsepower and heart — a trainer, racing enthusiast, and creator who writes from the two worlds he knows best: working dogs and high‑performance engines — now brought together in children’s books that teach with grit, grace, and a grin.

His journey with dogs began in the 1980s at the Miami Ringsport Association, where mentors Abel Montejo and Jerry Bell introduced him to his first Belgian Malinois, Tok Lou, and the art of decoy work. After earning a professional degree in another field, he rediscovered his love for the breed in 2011. Since then, he's worked with military and police K9s, protection dogs, and family pets — sharing over 20 years of experience through methods that make training simple, safe, and effective. Today, he brings those lessons to young readers in a fun, accessible way.

On the automotive side, RedMaligator’s roots are in carbureted performance engines, and over the past five years, he’s evolved into LS tuning. Frustrated by costly mistakes from disreputable tuners, he taught himself — and continues to deepen his knowledge of HP Tuners, VCM Scanner, and the fundamentals of LS performance. Today, he shares that knowledge through clear, step‑by‑step guides that help enthusiasts avoid pitfalls and achieve results.

Inspired by his love for Atti, Johnny, and the legacy they inspire, RedMaligator branched into creating children’s books. With every title, his mission remains the same: to break down complex topics into easy-to-follow guides that spark curiosity, invite creativity, and leave room for laughter.

2015 : Debuted in French Ring (CSAU, Excellent).
Her drive and aggression were intense — she was transitioned to personal protection, apprehension, and in drug detection, did multiple areas of service work in the years after.

Whelped her first litter fall of 2017.

Despite her power, she was always gentle with me.
Her loyalty was unmatched.

Always served as my service dog with dedication and care.

Whelped: 08/2014.
2016 (Feb): Debuted in Ring 1, won 1st place (193.4/200, Excellent).
2016 (Jun): Jumped to Ring 2, won 1st place (290.9/300, Excellent).
2016–2017: Advanced to Ring 3 — scored 330–342/400, Excellent, multiple placements.

Reaching Ring 3 in under two years is rare. It means Johnny mastered the most complex decoy scenarios — long bites, guarding, escorting, and extreme obedience under pressure.

Summer of 2017 left France for the USA.

2017: Selected for Coupe des Clubs, proving both individual excellence and value as a team competitor.

One of the highest Honors in French Ring.

Being chosen for the Coupe des Clubs reflects not only his talent, but also the trust his training club placed in him to represent them nationally in France.

It also shows he wasn’t just talented — he was considered valuable in a team championship environment, where consistency matters more than a single big win.
